capital

Pienching

Kaifeng
in
Honan
province)
. This
painted
scroll
not
only
serves
as a
study
of
ancient
Chinese
life
, but in
traditional
Chinese
painting
. Its
exquisiteness
of
expression
is
considered
remarkable.The
original
of this
replica
is
now
a
part
of the
New
York
Metropolitan
Museum
of
arts
collection
.
It
is
composed
on
silk
of a
green-and-blue
landscape
with
varied
color
highlights
.
It
measures
29
cm
in
width
and
1,000
cm
in
length
.
